We collect information you provide directly, information generated during your use, and payment metadata:

• Account Information: When you register or sign in (via email or Apple Sign-In), we store your name, email address, and authentication identifiers.
• Captured Tasks & Content: Text notes, article URLs, captured documents, and subtasks you submit for organization and timeline scheduling.
• User Preferences: Custom priority rules, categories, working hours, and notification preferences.
• Payment & Billing Metadata: For paid subscriptions (Standard Plan and Scholar / Pro Plan), all payment transactions are handled directly by PCI-compliant third-party processors (Stripe for web purchases, and Apple for iOS App Store purchases). We never store your credit card numbers, CVVs, or full payment credentials on our servers. We only receive confirmation tokens, subscription plan IDs, and renewal status.
• Technical Telemetry: Minimal device information (OS version, app build, browser type, error logs) necessary for app diagnostics and crash prevention.

2. How Artificial Intelligence Processes Your Data

Capmem AI utilizes advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) to transform unstructured raw text into actionable tasks, smart dates, and priority scores. We enforce strict data handling protocols:

• Ephemeral Processing: Content you submit for AI extraction is processed in memory solely to generate immediate structured output (titles, deadlines, summaries).
• Zero Model Training: Your private tasks, captured content, and personal data are NEVER used to train, retrain, fine-tune, or improve public machine learning models.
• Encrypted Endpoints: All AI interactions communicate over encrypted TLS connections directly to enterprise-grade AI infrastructure without persistent caching of your documents by the AI provider.

3. Zero Selling or Monetizing of User Data

We NEVER sell, rent, lease, or monetize your personal information or task data to third parties, data brokers, or advertisers. We do not serve third-party targeted advertisements, and your productivity data will never be traded for marketing purposes.

4. Trusted Third-Party Subprocessors

To operate our cloud infrastructure, we collaborate with industry-leading, SOC 2 / ISO 27001 compliant service providers:

• Supabase Inc.: Encrypted cloud database, user authentication, and row-level security enforcement.
• Stripe, Inc.: Secure web payment processing, billing management, and tax compliance.
• Apple Inc.: iOS native authentication (Sign in with Apple) and App Store in-app subscription processing.
• Google Cloud / Google AI: API infrastructure powering intelligent text extraction and structured parsing under strict commercial privacy terms.
• Vercel Inc.: Application hosting, edge network routing, and serverless compute.

5. Cookies and Local Storage

We only use essential local storage keys and session cookies strictly required for user authentication, security verification, theme state, and offline drafting. We do not use third-party tracking pixels or behavioral advertising cookies.

6. Security and Data Protection

We implement comprehensive technical and administrative security safeguards:

• All network data in transit is encrypted using Modern Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.2 / 1.3 with HTTPS).
• All user records in storage are encrypted at rest using AES-256 standards.
• Row-Level Security (RLS) policies guarantee that your tasks and rules can only ever be accessed by your authenticated user ID.

7. Data Retention and Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA/CPRA)

You maintain full sovereignty over your personal data at all times:

• Right to Access & Portability: You can export all your task records and settings in structured JSON format directly from your Account Settings.
• Right to Rectification: You may edit and update any personal information or task item anytime within the app.
• Right to Erasure (Account Deletion): You can permanently delete your account and all associated items and rules at any time directly in Settings. Once initiated, all personal records are purged from our primary database immediately.
• Non-Discrimination: We will never discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights.

8. Children's Privacy

Our Services are not designed for or directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please notify us immediately so we can promptly delete it.

We may update our Privacy Policy periodically to reflect enhancements in our Services or regulatory requirements. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page or by delivering an in-app notice.
